Foam Prop: Blackrazor

This is my first/second project in making foam props, or Foamsmithing.

I royally messed up my first three attempts at making this as frankly I didn’t have the knowledge, skill, and understanding on how to create something this big. So after my failed second attempt I decided to go after a smaller project which can be found here: Hunter Knife.

For the Blackrazor project I used a drawing that I had done back in either Junior High or High School that was based on a weapon that my D&D character had found in one of his adventures. This sword, The Blackrazor, became his main weapon that he used for years. (literally, years of playing).

I wanted one of my first Foamsmithing projects to be something important to me so I decided on that. In the pictures you will see below it doesn’t exactly match my drawing. I possibly went a little overboard on the hilt guard but I like it and it makes me smile. I could go into detail on what the spikes and horns mean from a D&D perspective but I’ll spare you that :).

So I present: The Blackrazor. Circa 2019 and as a actual prop.
